US infantry weapons were among the best in the world and they were the first army to fully issue their troops with an automatic rifle in the shape of the Garand.
Many of the American infantry weapons were designed by Browning, Colt and Thompson. The infantry mortars were modern and well designed. They introduced a number of recoilless weapons starting with the Bazooka.
