German Field Guns & Howitzers
German light Divisional artillery was mainly built around the 105mm field howitzer and this howitzer replaced the earlier 77mm and 75mm field guns as the standard field piece. The leFH 18 was the first version to be introduced and this weapon went through various modifications and served until 1945. The Germans grouped their light howitzers into artillery regiments and in infantry divisions these regiments included three battalions of 105mm howitzers and one of 105mm howitzers.
