Notes | The T-28 was a multi turreted vehicle which was developed as a breakthrough tank. It was well armed for the period with a 76.2mm gun plus four or more machine guns. The main gun was mounted in a large fully revolving turret and two minor turrets housed machine guns and were located on the front hull. It was well armoured and could reach speeds of around 37 km. It saw action against the Poles, the Finns and the Japanese and many saw action against the German invasion resulting in huge losses. By early 1942 not many were left in service. |
