NotesThe T-34 was one of the most important and influential tanks used in world war two. It had all the ingredients required for a medium battle tank, with well sloped armour, powerful main gun and mobility. It was very reliable and rugged plus it was produced in large numbers. It did however have a few draw backs, mainly with a two man turret and the lack of radios, these points along with the lack of crew training and negative tactics were the main cause of losses and the breakdown of attacks. These were overshadowed by the good points and it was used to great effect against the Germans as its sloped armour and wide tracks made gave it an advantage over the early panzers.
