Variants[@variants]
NotesThe LVT-A1 was an armoured version based on similar lines to the LVT-2. It was developed for fire support with the addition of a turret similar to the version mounted on the M3 light tank and armed with a 37mm M6 gun and a .30 cal coaxial machine gun. It also had a further two .30 cal machine guns mounted on the rear deck. The LVT-A1 saw action at Roi-Namur, Northern Kwajalein Atoll, Saipan, Guam, Tinian and Peleliu.
