French Support Vehicles
By 1940 the French army had developed a number of vehicles which included supply carriers and artillery tractors. The small but useful UE tractor was issued in a number of supply roles along the larger Lorriane 37L and Renault 36R. Laffly, Citroen-Kegresse, UNIC and Somua all designed artillery tractors with each capable of towing the various types of artillery fielded by the army.
