Ordered into active military service 15 September 1942 and reorganized at Fort Custer, Michigan as the 94th Infantry Division.
Inactivated 7 February 1946 at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey.
Activated 1 November 1946 with headquarters at Boston, Massachusetts.
