Notes | The Daimler was one of the best British armoured cars of the period and well known for its reliability. It was basically an enlarged version of the Dingo and mounted a turret housing a 2 pdr gun, a coaxial 7.92mm Besa machine gun and a crew of three. It served alongside in armoured reconnaissance troops consisting of two armoured cars and two scout cars. It saw action on every front and went on to serve in the Korean War. |
