NotesThe AEC Armoured Car first came to light in 1941 at the Horse Guards Parade when Winston Churchill saw it demonstrated, it incorporated the AEC Matador chassis with the turret of a Valentine Mk. II Tank and retained the 2 pdr gun. It was large and heavy and carried a crew of three. The AEC Mk. I saw service in North Africa and was issued to Armoured Car units.
