VariantsMk IVA replaced the Vickers MMG with a 7.92mm Besa MMG.
Close Support Version with one 3.7in L/15 Mk.IV Howitzer (40 x 3.7in Rounds).
NotesThe Mk. IV A13 was based on the same design as the Mk. III A13. The Mk. IV had thicker armour and replaced the aging Vickers .303 machine gun with the new Besa 7.92mm. In the main a slightly better tank than the earlier cruisers and could hold its own against the lighter Italian and early German tanks. It served in France and North Africa.
