NotesBuilt and delivered straight from the manufacturer to British specifications the Grant was well received by tank crews, it mounted a 75mm gun and had good armour protection, it did have its disadvantages, it had a high silhouette and the main gun was mounted in a sponson located in the hull. The British 5th Royal Tank Regiment were the first to receive the Grant, and they first saw action in the battle of Gazala in 1942.
