Notes | The TK Vz.24 was modified version of the Schwartzlose heavy machine gun. The Czech army had around 4.700 of these water cooled weapons and in 1924 they decided to overhaul them and change the calibre from 8mm to 7.92mm. These up-grade weapons were named Vz.7/24 and any which were built with the conversion added were known as Vz.24. It was the main heavy machine gun of the infantry and cavalry and issued to machine gun companies at battalion and squadron level. |
