In 1936 the Estonian military purchased four 47mm anti-tank guns from Böhler. The Böhler was already adopted by many as their standard anti-tank gun but after testing the Estonians decided to go for the 37mm Rheinmetall instead. The four models available were issued to anti-tank companies.
