NotesThe 231 was the German army’s first modern armoured car and the first in the line of six wheeled vehicles. It had a rear steering wheel which allowed for fast reverse driving. They saw action during the early stages of World Was Two but were gradually phased out by eight wheeled series. Some saw use as security vehicles mainly in rear areas.
