NotesThe Panzer Mk. III Ausf B had a new suspension which was totally different to that of the Ausf A. it consisted of four pairs of road wheels and leaf spring suspension. It also had three return rollers and changes were made to the cupola and air louvres. The Ausf B carried the same armament in the shape of a 37mm KwK 36 gun and twin coaxial MG34s in the turret and a single MG34 in the hull. Like the Panzer Mk. III Ausf A, the Ausf B was withdrawn from frontline service in February 1940, again due to poor armour and suspension problems.
