Notes | The Panzer Mk. IV Ausf D had better armour then the Ausf C. Other changes included an external mantlet and stepped superstructure which placed the driver ahead of the hull gunner/radio operator. Later models received extra armoured plates and a few even had their low velocity guns replaced by long barrelled 75mm KwK 40s. |
