NotesThe Panzer Mk. IV Ausf F2 gave the Germans the edge on the Russian front and in North Africa. The British called them “Mk. IV specials” mainly because of the high velocity 75mm KwK 40 gun. The installation of the long barrelled gun caused a few problems mainly due to ammunition storage. The Ausf F2 saw action in Russia and North Africa.
