Notes | The Germans wanted to provide each panzer company with a single Instandsetzungskraftwagen. The Panzer I was chosen for this task and this resulted of the removal of the turret and hull armour. The vehicle was too light to cope with the weight of larger tanks and could not recover damaged vehicles. They were withdrawn by the end of 1940 and used for training. |
