Notes | The 15cm sIG 33 was a heavy infantry support gun which was issued at regimental level. It was used to supplement the lighter 7.5cm leIG 18 and each infantry regiment had two such weapons. It was very heavy and this caused problems in the field, especially during the Russian winter. Despite its draw backs it was kept in use and used on every front right through the war. |
