Notes | The Mrs 18 was heavy howitzer which was mounted on an innovative carriage designed for high elevation and 360 degree traverse. The weapon was accurate, robust and like all heavy howitzers it was transported in two loads. It was first produced in 1939 but production was halted mainly to focus of the 170mm K18. Production resumed again in 1943 and it served in heavy independent field batteries and as a coastal gun. |
