NotesThe K18 was a heavy long range gun developed in the late 1920s and produced in the early 1930s. It was issued to independent heavy artillery battalions and motorised heavy artillery battalions located in armoured or motorised divisions. Because of its weight is was considered too heavy for horse transport so they were mainly towed by halftrack. It was considered too much gun for so little shell but was used on all fronts. Many were also used as coastal guns and placed in fortifications.
