Notes | In 1942 Hitler ordered that a forty Lorraine Schlepper’s be converted to carry a 150mm howitzer. 23 of these vehicles would eventually reach Africa and be used by Rommel’s Afrika Korps in its race to the Nile. More were later converted and these were issued to panzer artillerie regiments serving in France and fifty-four were still in service in June 1944. |
