Notes | The German army made good use of motorcycles and this was made more prominent during the Blitzkrieg. This would allow for speed and aggressive tactics so large number of Motorcycle battalions were formed and these were equipped were equipped with R-12 motorcycles and even support weapons plus light armoured cars. The R-12 was also used in the role of liaison and communications and could be equipped with a sidecar, they were well liked and reliable and were widely used on all fronts. |
