Notes | The Hungarians decided on replacing the 40mm gun with a more powerful 75mm. These changes were put in place with the second batch of tanks. The 75mm gun chosen was a low velocity short barrel weapon which was marginally better than the 40mm gun mounted on the Turan I. The weight was also increased which led to a decrease in mobility and speed. The Turan II first saw action in 1944 and fought alongside the Turan I, many were lost in action against superior Soviet armour. |
