NotesThe Germans advised the Hungarians about designing an assault gun, in which they agreed. The Turan tank chassis formed the basis of the design and this was extended to compensate for the length of the main armament. It was armed with 105mm 40/43 howitzer plus a machine gun for local defense. The first vehicles were issued in 1943 to assault battalions and saw heavy fighting against Soviet forces in 1944, in which they fought well.
