NotesThe Nimrod was initially designed to operate in a dual role as tank destroyer and anti-aircraft tank. The choice of weapon was too light to engage Soviet armour so it was issued in the anti-aircraft role. It was built on the chassis of the Toldi light tank and mounted a licence built version of the Bofors 40mm anti-aircraft gun. The Nimrod was issued to armoured auto-cannon battalions and incorporated into armoured and cavalry divisions.
