Notes | The 47/32 was designed by the Austrian Böhler and built under licence by the Italians. It was the standard anti-tank gun and was issued to all units. It was a sound design and was on par with other light anti-tank guns from that period, but by 1943 it was starting to be inadequate against tanks like the British Churchill, Valentine and US M4. It was still kept in use in the infantry support role and could be broken down and easily transported. The 47/32 saw action were ever Italian troops fought. |
