Notes | The Mitragliatrice Modello 35 was an up-dated version of the Modello 14. It was belt fed and air cooled, which was a vast improvement on the early model and a new chamber, which omitted the oil reservoir. It fired a heavier 8mm round which gave a better penetrative power. Later it was found that the new chamber still jammed and rounds had to lubricated before use. Despite its faults the Modello 35 was issued to the troops and saw action on all fronts. |
