NotesThe Type 92 was the first real Japanese built tank. It was more like a light tank then the name suggests, and this was down to differences between the infantry and cavalry. It was issued to cavalry units for reconnaissance work. It had thin armour and was armed with a 13mm heavy machine gun plus a 6.5mm machine gun. It saw service in Manchuria and Korea.
