Notes | The type 01 was designed as an interim weapon until a better anti-tank was developed. This was brought about by the failure of the type 94 to combat allied armour and some of these issues were addressed by the type 01. It had a longer barrel and lower silhouette then the type 94 and this gave it slightly better penetration power. It was issued in the same way as the type 94. |
