Notes | The type 10 discharger gave the Japanese infantry platoons extra fire power. It was light, easily transported and could fire a range of grenades. It had a smoothbore barrel and the main type of grenade used was the type 91, which was a high explosive grenade. These light dischargers were used to good effect by the Japanese and each infantry platoon could field up to three such weapons, which gave the platoon commander a valuable source of support. |
