Notes | Even though the Wzór.28 a halftrack, it was classed as an armoured car. The Polish army wanted a vehicle which could travel across rough roads and terrain. It came in two versions with one being armed with a Hotchkiss 37mm gun and some armed with a single machine gun. It was found to be too slow for an armoured car, but its cross country performance was ok, it was also rather high. That said around 90 were produced and the majority of these were issued to armoured car battalions. Later it was decided to change the tracks and add a pair of rear wheels and these vehicles were called Wzór.34. |
