NotesThe R-2 was the Skoda LT.Vz.35 light tank and around 126 were purchased by the Romanian army. They were formed into the 1st tank regiment and saw action during the invasion of Russia. The Germans supplied replacements to cover the losses suffered during Operation Barbarossa and these helped to keep the regiment up to strength. It was no match for the Soviet T-34 and losses mounted as the Romanians were mauled at Stalingrad. The few what remained were issued to small armoured units and most fell into Soviet hands.
