Notes | During the invasion of Russia, the Romania army captured models of the Soviet PM-38 heavy mortar and were impressed. They found it a better weapon then the 120mm weapon that was being developed by Brandt and decided to simply copy the Soviet model. These were built by the Romanian firm Resita and were issued in early 1942 and equipped heavy mortar companies at regimental level. |
