NotesThe KV-1 M1942 was an up-armoured version of the Kliment Voroshilov one model 1941 and the increase in armour also caused an increase in weight which caused many problems and breakdowns. Despite this it was produced in large numbers but was gradually phased out to make way for the IS series of heavy tanks.
