The PM-37 (Batalionniy Minomet) was a copy of the Brandt mortar. It differed from the French weapon by having recoil springs to reduce stress on the bi-pod, which allowed for more accurate firing and also had a circular base plate. It was issued to mortar companies at battalion level.
