Notes | The 4M ZPU (Счетверённая зенитно-пулемётная установка) was a quad machine gun system designed as a light anti-aircraft weapon. It consisting of four maxim machine guns and was developed by Tokarev. It was effective against low flying aircraft and was capable of up to 2.400 rounds per minute. It was fed by 1000 round belts that were stored in ammunition boxes and located underneath each barrel. It was a heavy weapon and was mounted on various trucks or static mounts. |
