Swedish Companies

The typical Swedish infantry company circa 1941, contained a large CHQ which incorporated around 17 all ranks and these were split into command sections, gas patrol squad and supply squad. I had three infantry platoons and a heavy platoon. The infantry platoons had four sections which were led by a small PHQ commanded by a lieutenant and assisted by a platoon sergeant and a couple of runners. One section contained a light mortar and four man crew and the other sections were rifle. Each rifle section was led by a corporal and assisted by a lance corporal and contained a LMG gunner and nine rifle men. The heavy platoon was a large unit which contained a PHQ and two mortar squads, two machine guns squads and an AT/AA section.
