French Field Artillery
The 75mm mle 1897 gun still made up the bulk of French field regiments and were augmented by a range of 105mm light howitzers and these were supported by 155mm medium howitzers. The French also had a range of mountain guns with the small but useful 65mm mle 06 still used in limited numbers along with modern 75mm and 105mm weapons. Reserve units were also issued with the vintage 37mm mle 1916 infantry gun, this handy little gun was issued with anti-tank rounds for use against German AFVs.
