German AA Guns
The German armed forces were well armed with various calibres of anti-aircraft guns. These were crewed by either Luftwaffe or Heer artillery personnel. Most of these weapons were also used in the ground role and some as anti-tank guns, as such the military supplied anti-tank rounds as standard. As the war progressed the need for more protection of cites and military installations became paramount as the Luftwaffe was being overstretched trying to cope with allied air strength and many anti-aircraft units were diverted for the defense of German.
