Italian AA Guns

The Italian army relied on two models of 20mm gun for defence against low flying aircraft. The most numerous was the 20mm Breda and these were augmented by smaller numbers of the 20mm Scotti, both models were widely used not only in the anti-aircraft role but as ground support weapons. Heavier anti-aircraft guns were the 75mm Modello 34 and the excellent 90mm Modello 41, both were designed by Ansaldo.
