Russian Artillery Tractors

The Russian army developed a range of artillery tractors with each model capable of towing a certain weight of gun or howitzer. The lightest model was the T-20, which was used to tow light anti-tank guns and heavy mortars. The T-26T was based on the chassis of the T-26 tank and was issued to tow divisional guns and howitzers. The YA-12 towed corps guns and howitzers. The STZ-5 and S-2 towed medium anti-aircraft guns, regimental and divisional artillery. Larger vehicles like the Voroshilovet and Komintern was used to tow a variety medium and heavy guns and howitzer.
